Some things you need to know before booking

During the summer holiday season, the Holiday 'Week' is from Friday to Friday. Shorter or longer breaks can be accommodated for, but there may be less availability during 'high season'. Please enquire as to our availability.

The Country Cottages are situated in a very quiet and peaceful location. Many of our guests simply enjoy the tranquillity and partake in fishing the private ponds a few yards from each cottage garden.

If you have requested to bring a well behaved dog, please do not leave it unattended. We have a policy of only one small dog in Lilac, Bramble and Cherry cottage. Dogs are not permitted in Acer and Jasmine cottage. Dogs do attract an additional fee - please discuss at the time of booking.

All of the cottages are strictly No Smoking. If you do smoke, we would ask that you please dispose of all smoking materials sensibly.

All cottages have Wifi and a smart TV.

Bedding is provided and beds are made up on your arrival. Tea towels are provided in the kitchen.
Please remember that you will need to bring your own personal towels.

There is an integrated fridge having a small freezing compartment in each cottage.

There is ample car parking available close to each cottage. There are waste and recycling bins situated in the car park for use during your stay.

Check in is from 2 pm and check out is strictly 9 am.

Finding 'The Country Cottages'

The full address is The Country Cottages, Bratoft Lane, Burgh le Marsh, Lincolnshire PE24 5ER.

The cottages are about 7 miles in land from the east coast holiday resort of Skegness. Travelling east on the A158 from Lincoln, follow signs for Horncastle and Skegness. If travelling north, up from Boston on the A16, follow signs for Spilsby and at Partney roundabout join the A158 for Skegness.

At the next roundabout, 'Gunby' roundabout, carry straight on towards Skegness. The road is a dual carriageway immediately after the roundabout and you will need to move into the right hand lane. After the traffic lights at the very start of the new Burgh bypass, take the first right hand turn off the A158, signed Burgh le Marsh.

Take the very first right hand turn after about 1/2 a mile onto Bratoft Lane. If you see a continuous band of properties on both sides of the road and then a petrol station to your right, you will have gone too far.

The Country Cottages are situated at the very end on the left hand side, approximately 50 yards before a 'T' junction.

On Arrival

Each cottage has the name on a sign by the front door. There is ample car parking in front of each cottage which is also signed. On your arrival date the door to your cottage will be left unlocked and the key will be found in the lock on the inside of the door. The arrival time is any time after 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

If you are a late arrival and the door to your cottage is locked, you will be allocated a four digit code to open a key safe which is adjacent to the front door.
